It is with great excitement that we announce the launch of Middle School Football for all Reading 7th & 8th graders. After extensive research, we have decided to join the Eastern Massachusetts Middle School Football League (EMMSFL) beginning in the Fall of 2020. Here are some of the highlights of the program:
- There will be one team made up of 7th and 8th graders
- The team will be tightly aligned with the RMHS Football Program & Head Coach John Fiore
- Many surrounding towns will be in our division (Arlington, Bedford, Belmont, Melrose, Wilmington, Winchester, Woburn)
- Practices will be Monday and Tuesday evenings in the Fall
- Games will be played on Wednesday (Varsity) and Thursday (JV) evenings at RMHS; Fall weekends are off-days for all!
- The Varsity and JV concept will provide great competition and plenty of playing experience for all players
- There will be an 8-game season and players will be bused to away games
